When i decided to study journalism, one of the things that help me to take the decision was the curriculum of the career, because it was a very atractive offer for a girl that likes the humanist side of life, ands it a little confused. The subjects seemed very interesting, not so superficial, but more philosophical. And in part it turn out to be that way, the problem is that now i dont know what to do with all that theory, and some times it a little scary when you are already in four year, i you dont know exactly what you ve learned, or what you do better than others. I think we, the students of journalism, have always this problem where we know a lot of things but very unspecific.
So maybe we should from thrid grade, choose elective subjetcs that build our future road in the career. Maybe it s a good idea now that everything its more and more complex in the area of comunications, because of the technology that it a lot faster than our capacity of adaption.
i think the teaching methods are okey and our teachers are also very good academics, but sometimes they tend to thing were are all going to be teachers, or researchers in the area, and we need to be prepared for the world outside the university, where sometimes it doesnt matter if you have read a lot or you can write very good essays.
Well, anyway, i think a big part of what you learn or do it s on your hands, and today its always the day where you can start doing things, because, like they say, tomorrow never comes.
