I think will are not going to have winter holidays, because of the strike, so i dont have any plans for these year. But i had the idea to go to buenos aires with some friends, maybe for two weeks. I have a friend that study there so i can stay in his place for free, and i can spend my money in other things.
Most of my winters holidays are in Puerto Varas, the city where i grew up, and where my father lives. Its a beutiful city, and very touristic, so it s a perfect place to relax. I have homemade food, i can sit in the afternoon next to the fire, play with my little brother, see some movies with my father, hangout with my friends that also come to visit there families.
It s like a little break from all the stress and chaos from Santiago, a very different way of living that gives me the power to keep going with my university studies.
It s all so quiet that the frist nights i cant sleep because i m already use to the noise from the capital, but i aprecciate a lot that nothing wakes me up in the morning and that i can sleep till my eyes open by their own.
Like all winter holydays i drink a lot of tee in the day, and wine with my friends in the night, remembering good all times when we were teenagers... return to Puerto Varas it s always like a flashback for me. Do all the things that i used to with people that i dont see much in Santiago, it s a very good feeling.
If you can't go to Buenos Aires , Puerto Varas is definitely an excellent choice !
